Thanks for testing FamilySlate
FamilySlate is currently being tested with a limited group before a wider release. The aim of the beta is to find confusing setup steps, device-specific layout problems and reliability issues under normal family use.
Send beta feedbackWhat “beta” means
- Features, wording and layouts may change between releases.
- Occasional bugs or temporary service interruptions are possible.
- FamilySlate should not be the only place you keep information that would be serious to lose. Keep the original source calendars and important records elsewhere.
- Updates are normally delivered automatically through the PWA cache when FamilySlate is reopened.
What we want testers to try
Use FamilySlate normally: add shopping items and tasks from different devices, pair and remove a device, change device-specific modules, use Calendar feeds, try recipes/meals, and leave a tablet running as a household display.
If something feels confusing even when it technically works, report that too. Usability feedback is as valuable as a crash or obvious bug.
What to include in a useful report
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
- Which device you were using.
- Whether it happens every time.
- A screenshot if it is a visual/layout problem.
The FamilySlate feedback form can automatically include basic browser and screen diagnostics. It never includes your pairing PIN or device credential.
Security during beta
New devices are connected using a single-use invitation plus a 6-digit PIN. Connected devices have their own revocable credentials. Keep pairing invitations and PINs private, and remove any lost or unwanted device from Settings → Connected devices.
Data and privacy
FamilySlate is accountless, but household information still has to be stored to sync between paired devices. Read the FamilySlate Beta Privacy Notice for what is stored and which services are involved.
